Huntington Beach is flat, fast and scenic to ride, and it's tough on bikes. Riders here split their miles between the beach path, PCH and the Santa Ana River Trail, which meets the coast at the city's southeast corner. Sand works into chains, jockey wheels and freehub bodies, and salt air corrodes chains, cables and bolts. Coastal bikes need cleaning and lubrication more often, and that's most of the HB repair work we see.

We don't have a shop in Huntington Beach. Our one location is in Santa Ana, a straight shot up Talbert Ave, where Talbert becomes MacArthur Blvd at the river. We look the bike over with you and go through the work and price before anything starts.

Getting your bike to the shop from Huntington Beach

About 6.5 miles by road from Huntington Beach City Hall (2000 Main St) (5.2 miles in a straight line). Approximate: computed from OpenStreetMap coordinates and routing data. Traffic and your exact start point change it.

From HB City Hall (2000 Main St): go north on Main St, then Ellis Ave and Newland St to Talbert Ave. Head east on Talbert for about 3 miles. You'll cross the Santa Ana River, where Talbert becomes MacArthur Blvd; the shop is just under a mile past the river, between Harbor Blvd and Fairview St, in Suite B.

By bike: take the Santa Ana River Trail north from PCH to the Talbert/MacArthur crossing, then ride east on MacArthur. The beach path connects to the river trail by Huntington State Beach, so you can ride from the pier to the shop almost entirely off-street.

Repairs Huntington Beach riders ask for most

  • Drivetrain deep clean — If shifting feels crunchy even after lubing, the drivetrain needs a real clean, not another coat of wet lube on grit. Chain, cassette, rings and derailleurs cleaned and re-lubed. Book this
  • Cables and housing — Salt air gets into cables and housing. Fresh ones bring back crisp shifting and braking. Book this
  • Flats, tires and tubeless — River-trail glass and beach-path debris mean flats. We fix them, replace tires and tubes, and set up or refresh tubeless. Book this
  • Wheel true and spoke repair — Lateral and radial truing, tension checks and broken spokes replaced. Book this · More
  • Triathlon bike service — Pre-race checks and cockpit setup for tri bikes before race day. Book this · More

Commuters who use PCH or the river trail for errands should treat chain lube as weekly hygiene, not a spring ritual. We'd rather see you for a clean-and-adjust than for a cassette worn out by a stretched chain. Sunday beach-path crowds mean more sudden stops, so keep your brake pads fresh too.
