Irvine riders put in a lot of miles. The city's off-street bikeways link up with the Mountains to Sea Trail and the Back Bay, and Turtle Rock and the roads toward Santiago Canyon are right there. Smooth paths still wear out chains, cassettes and brake pads, and the climbs ask more of your brakes than the flat paths suggest. That's most of the repair work Irvine riders bring us.

We're a single, owner-run shop in Santa Ana. Many Irvine customers drop off on the way to work near the airport area or South Coast Metro and pick up after. We look the bike over with you and go through the work and price before anything starts.

Getting your bike to the shop from Irvine

About 5.9 miles by road from Irvine City Hall (1 Civic Center Plaza) (5.2 miles in a straight line). Approximate: computed from OpenStreetMap coordinates and routing data. Traffic and your exact start point change it.

From Irvine City Hall (1 Civic Center Plaza): take Alton Pkwy to its end at Red Hill Ave, go left on Red Hill, then turn onto MacArthur Blvd. Stay on MacArthur heading west, past the 55 and Bristol St. MacArthur becomes W MacArthur Blvd; the shop is between Fairview St and Harbor Blvd, in Suite B.

From the Spectrum, UCI or south Irvine: work your way to MacArthur Blvd and head west. Because MacArthur runs all the way through, you can skip the 405 and the 55 entirely on this trip.

Repairs Irvine riders ask for most

  • Di2 and AXS faults — Shimano Di2 and SRAM AXS install, pairing, firmware and fine-tuning. Bring the charger or battery if a system won't wake up. Book this · More
  • Brakes after canyon season — Turtle Rock and Santiago Canyon descents glaze pads and cook old fluid. We bleed hydraulic brakes, swap pads and true rotors. Book this · More
  • Drivetrain wear from high mileage — Chain, cassette, rings and derailleurs cleaned and re-lubed, with a chain-wear check so a worn chain doesn't take the cassette with it. Book this
  • Pre-event and pre-race checks — A safety and performance check before race day, a gran fondo or a big group ride. Book this · More
  • Wheel true and spoke repair — Lateral and radial truing, tension checks and broken spokes replaced, quoted on inspection. Book this · More

If you ride Turtle Rock repeats or head up Santiago Canyon Rd, say so when you book. A climbing bike needs good pads and a firm lever more than a path bike does, and we'll prioritize brakes and shifting under load.
