Lake Forest sits at the foot of some of the county's best climbing. Cook's Corner, where Santiago Canyon, El Toro and Live Oak Canyon roads meet, is just up the hill, and the Modjeska Grade starts there: about 1.7 miles and 599 ft at a 6.1% average, with pitches over 13%. The Aliso Creek Trail starts near Whiting Ranch and runs south for miles.

At about 16 miles away, we aren't the shop for a five-minute fix, and we'll say so. Lake Forest riders come to us for the work that's worth the drive: brakes and gearing for climbing, electronic shifting, full services and new bikes. Many combine the trip with a stop at South Coast Metro. The price is agreed with you before anything starts.
