More than a bike shop. A cycling community.
A premium bike shop near the middle of Orange County
Orange County has a lot of bike shops. Veloaded Cyclery was built to be a different kind: a premium shop where the service on the bench matters as much as the bikes on the floor. We specialize in high-performance bicycles, custom builds, premium components, apparel and professional bike services, and we work on road, triathlon, gravel and mountain bikes of any brand, wherever you bought them.
We are one shop, at 3420 W MacArthur Blvd Suite B in Santa Ana, on MacArthur between Fairview St and Harbor Blvd, just north of the 405. That puts us near the middle of the county: Costa Mesa and Fountain Valley are next door, Irvine and Huntington Beach are a short drive, and the Santa Ana River Trail is just under a mile west of our door. Riders come to us from every corner of Orange County.
The shop is independent and owner-run. Edgar Rodriguez, our Founder & Master Builder (friends call him Ed), runs the shop and the service bench. It is a small, welcoming space: wait with a drink or a good cup of coffee while we work on your bike, and talk cycling with us. More than a bike shop. A cycling community.
What riders look for in the best bike shop in Orange County
"Best" depends on what you ride. For a quick flat on a beach cruiser, the closest shop is usually the right call. For a carbon race bike, a triathlon machine, electronic shifting or a custom build, riders usually look for the same few things. Here is how Veloaded measures up, in plain terms:
- Authorized premium brands. We are proud authorized dealers of Pinarello, Colnago, Cervélo, ENVE, Look, Scott, Princeton, Scope, CeramicSpeed, Shimano, KASK, MET, ASSOS, Q36.5 and Velocio. See all brands.
- A builder at the bench. Frame-up custom builds, dealer setup of new bikes in-house, and parts torqued to spec.
- Modern-bike skills. Shimano Di2 and SRAM AXS install, pairing and firmware, hydraulic brake bleeds, tubeless setup, press-fit bottom brackets and wheel truing and spoke repair.
- Any brand, any shop. We service bikes we didn't sell: road, tri, gravel and mountain.
- Price before work. We look the bike over with you and go through the work and price before anything starts. Parts are quoted separately.
- Rated 5.0 on Google. Don't take our word for it: read the reviews on Google Maps.
- A community, not just a counter. A Sunday coffee ride and midweek rides leave from the shop; start times are posted on Instagram. See group rides.
Authorized dealer brands
Riders cross the county for the bikes and parts we carry. We are proud authorized dealers of these brands, and we size, build and service what we sell in-house. Stock changes, so ask what can be ordered now; you get a quote first, and nothing is ordered until you say yes.

Riding in Orange County
Orange County gives you car-free river and creek trails, Pacific Coast Highway, and canyon climbs within one county, and your bike wears differently depending on which you ride. Trail and commuter miles wear tires and chains; canyon descents wear brake pads and cook old brake fluid; salt air near the coast is hard on chains and bolts. Tell us how you ride when you book, and we'll set the bike up for it. For routes, see our ride guides and the rider guide for your city below.
