These two small west-county communities ride very differently. Midway City sits inland along Bolsa Ave, a few minutes from the 405. Sunset Beach is the narrow coastal strip on Pacific Coast Highway between Huntington Beach and Seal Beach, where your bike lives in salt air and spray every day. What they share is a short trip to our shop, one of the shortest in the county.

From Sunset Beach in particular, the repair story is corrosion. Salt air dries chains, stiffens cables, seizes bolts and dries out tubeless sealant faster than inland riders expect. Midway City bikes see more stop-and-go arterial miles. Either way, we look the bike over with you and confirm the work and price before anything starts.

Getting your bike to the shop from Midway City & Sunset Beach

About 6.7 miles by road from Midway City / Sunset Beach (Bolsa Ave & PCH area) (5.0 miles in a straight line). Approximate: computed from OpenStreetMap coordinates and routing data. Traffic and your exact start point change it.

From Midway City (Bolsa Ave): take Bolsa Ave to Beach Blvd and go south about a mile to the 405. Take the 405 south for about 2 miles, exit toward Talbert Ave and head east. Talbert becomes W MacArthur Blvd at the river; the shop is just under a mile along, in Suite B.

From Sunset Beach: head inland from PCH toward Bolsa Ave or Warner Ave, then join the same Beach Blvd and 405 approach. If you'd rather ride, Bolsa Chica and the Huntington Beach path network connect toward the Santa Ana River Trail, which crosses MacArthur just under a mile west of the shop.

Repairs Midway City & Sunset Beach riders ask for most

  • Chain care and drivetrain cleans — Salt and sand pack into chains, cassettes and jockey wheels. A deep clean and re-lube, with a chain-wear check. Book this
  • Cables and housing — Salt air corrodes cables from the inside. Fresh cables and housing bring back light, crisp shifting and braking. Book this
  • Tubeless sealant refresh — Sealant dries faster in sun and wind. We refresh sealant, service valves and set up tubeless properly. Book this · More
  • Brake service — Pads, rotors and calipers checked and serviced, rim or disc, and hydraulic bleeds when the lever goes soft. Book this · More
  • Tune-ups — Safety check, shifting and brake adjustment, lube and bolts torqued to spec, with an eye on the hardware salt air attacks first. Book this · More

Coastal tip from the bench: rinse the bike gently with fresh water after windy PCH days, dry it, and re-lube the chain. Don't blast bearings with a pressure washer. And if a bolt feels stuck, bring it to us rather than forcing it; corroded carbon-frame hardware is much easier to deal with before it strips.
