Seal Beach is where the San Gabriel River Trail meets the ocean, near River's End Park. LA County lists the trail at about 37.8 miles overall, and its southern miles give Seal Beach riders long, flat, car-separated volume right from home. Add coastal connectors into Long Beach and PCH east toward Huntington Beach, and most local riding is fast, flat and salty.

That shows up on the stand as high-mileage drivetrains and salt-air corrosion: chains that wear out between services, cables that start to drag, tubeless sealant that dries out, and brake pads worn down by beach-traffic stops. We're an independent shop in Santa Ana, and we confirm the work and price with you before anything starts.

Getting your bike to the shop from Seal Beach

About 13.6 miles by road from Seal Beach City Hall (8th Street) (11.3 miles in a straight line). Approximate: computed from OpenStreetMap coordinates and routing data. Traffic and your exact start point change it.

From Seal Beach City Hall (8th St): take PCH briefly, then Seal Beach Blvd inland for about 1.7 miles to Westminster Blvd. Go east on Westminster for about 3 miles and join the 405 south. After about 5 miles, exit toward Talbert Ave and head east; Talbert becomes W MacArthur Blvd at the Santa Ana River, and the shop is just under a mile along, in Suite B.

From the river trail or PCH: riders coming from the Huntington Beach side can use PCH to the Santa Ana River Trail and ride north to the MacArthur/Talbert crossing, just under a mile west of the shop.

Repairs Seal Beach riders ask for most

  • Drivetrain wear from flat miles — Long river-trail rides put a lot of miles on one chain. Deep clean, re-lube and a chain-wear check so a worn chain doesn't take the cassette with it. Book this
  • Tubeless and tires — Salt air and sun dry sealant. Tubeless installs, sealant refreshes and valve service, plus tire replacement. Book this · More
  • Cables and housing — Corroded cables make shifting heavy and vague. Fresh cables and housing fix it. Book this
  • Brake service — Pads, rotors and caliper alignment, and hydraulic bleeds when the lever feels soft. Book this · More
  • Tune-ups — Safety check, shifting and brake adjustment, lube and bolts torqued to spec. Book this · More

If most of your miles are on the San Gabriel River Trail, tell us roughly how many you ride a week. Flat, steady riding is easy on brakes but hard on chains, and knowing your mileage helps us tell you when to replace a chain before it costs you a cassette. Our tubeless guide covers sealant care.
