Heat is the theme of Inland Empire bike service. Summer days in Riverside County are hard on everything that keeps a bike running: tubeless sealant dries out, tires bake, chains run dry and dusty, and brake pads wear on long descents. Add the miles that IE riders put in, from tempo rides around Eastvale to long days through Temecula wine country, and a bike that was perfect in spring can feel tired by fall. For the corridor along the 91, Santa Ana is a realistic drive, and for riders farther south, shipping is an option.

Start with the Essential Service

01 Veloaded Essential Service: drivetrain deep cleaning, derailleur hanger alignment, component reinstallation and adjustment, component inspection (chain, tires, brake pads and tubeless sealant) and a final safety check. On Inland Empire bikes we pay particular attention to how heat and dust have treated each part.

For IE bikes the inspection step matters most. Dry sealant, worn pads and a stretched chain are easy to miss until they cause a flat, a soft lever or poor shifting halfway through a hot ride. The Essential Service finds them, and we tell you what we find before doing anything extra.

Other jobs worth the drive

  • 03 Di2 / AXS / Campy Setup: Shimano Di2, SRAM AXS and Campagnolo electronic groupsets installed, paired, updated and fine-tuned. Batteries don't love hot cars, so we check battery health along with shifting. Electronic shifting service.
  • Hydraulic brake bleed: heat and long descents age brake fluid. Brake bleeds.
  • Wheel true and spoke repair, and tubeless setup with fresh sealant. Wheel truing.
  • Bottom bracket and bearings: dust gets into bearings, and dry bearings creak.
  • Triathlon service and pre-race checks for Temecula-area events: triathlon bike service.
  • Custom build with frame-up assembly on our bench; see custom bike builds.

Prices aren't published; we confirm your job and any parts before starting.

Heat checklist between services

A few habits keep an IE bike running well through summer:

  • Shake the wheel and listen for sealant; if you can't hear any, it's probably time for a refresh.
  • Check tire pressure before every ride, since temperature swings change it.
  • Wipe and re-lube the chain after dusty rides, rather than adding lube on top of grit.
  • Look at your brake pads before a mountain day; worn pads and hot descents don't mix.
  • Don't leave a carbon bike or electronic-shifting batteries in a hot car for hours.

None of this replaces a proper service, but it makes the time between services safer and the service itself simpler.

Drive-in times along the 91

From Corona and Eastvale, the drive is about 30 to 38 road miles: the SR-91 west through the Santa Ana Canyon, then the SR-55 south to MacArthur Blvd. From Riverside it's about 44 miles on the same route. From Temecula and Murrieta, the I-15 north to the 91 adds the Lake Elsinore stretch, about 63 to 69 miles in all. All figures are approximate and off-peak; the 91 can be slow at commute times, so book a drop-off time that avoids the worst of it.

When shipping makes more sense

For southwest Riverside County, where the round trip can take most of a morning, or when the job is simple to describe, shipping is often the better choice. We accept bikes, frames and wheels shipped to the shop at 3420 W MacArthur Blvd Suite B, Santa Ana, CA 92704. Call (714) 760-4908 or email [email protected] first to arrange it and get a service ticket, and ask us about return shipping details. See the shipping guide for what to include.

Mountain bikes and gravel bikes too

Riverside County riders often own more than one bike. We service mountain bikes as well as road, tri and gravel: hydraulic brake bleeds, tubeless setups, drivetrain work and bearings. If you're bringing two bikes in one trip, say so when you book so the shop can plan the drop-off, and tell us which one you need back first.

Booking a repair

  1. Book online or call (714) 760-4908, and tell us what's wrong and how you ride.
  2. The shop confirms your drop-off time.
  3. We inspect, confirm anything extra with you, and do the work.
  4. Final safety check, then pick-up or return shipping as arranged.

Any brand is welcome. For a new bike, see the Cervélo, Pinarello and Colnago guides for Inland Empire riders; for position problems on long, hot rides, see bike fitting for IE riders.

Questions riders ask

Can I drop off two bikes in one trip?

Yes. Mention both when you book, describe what each one needs, and tell us which you need back first so the shop can plan the work around your schedule.

How often should IE riders refresh tubeless sealant?

Heat dries sealant faster than in cooler places, so check it more often in summer. The Essential Service includes a sealant inspection.

Do you service bikes bought online?

Yes. Road, tri, gravel and mountain bikes of any brand, wherever they were bought.

Can you get my bike ready for a Temecula-area event?

Yes. Book a pre-race check well before the event so there's time for parts if anything needs replacing.

What's the best time to drive in?

Off-peak. The 91 through the Santa Ana Canyon is often slow at commute times; book a drop-off time that avoids it.

Is shipping an option from Temecula or Murrieta?

Yes. Once we have opened a service ticket by phone or email, ship the bike, frame or wheels to 3420 W MacArthur Blvd Suite B, Santa Ana, and ask us about return shipping details.
