MET is an Italian helmet company whose road helmets are worn in WorldTour racing. Its current road range uses MIPS across the line. Veloaded Cyclery is a proud authorized MET dealer in Orange County.
The MET road range
- Trenta 3K Carbon MIPS and Trenta MIPS. MET's top race helmets.
- Manta MIPS. MET's aero road helmet, for speed.
- Rivale MIPS. A lighter all-round road helmet.
- Estro MIPS. A well-ventilated helmet for road, cyclocross and gravel.
- Vinci MIPS. MET's accessible road helmet.
Race, aero or all-round?
If you race or ride fast on flat roads, the Manta's aero shape is designed for you. If you climb a lot in Orange County's canyons, or ride inland in summer heat, the ventilation of the Trenta or Estro matters more. If you mix road and gravel, the Estro covers both. And if you want a dependable everyday helmet, the Vinci or Rivale is a sensible start.
Getting the fit right
Every head is different, and fit matters more than any feature. Try MET helmets on in the shop, with your glasses, and adjust the retention dial and straps so the helmet sits level and stays put. Replace a helmet after any crash. Staff speak English and Spanish, so ask in whichever language you prefer.
