Why Anaheim riders book a fit

For Anaheim riders, the Santa Ana River Trail is the main route: a car-free path past Angel Stadium and the Honda Center, south to the beach or north toward Yorba Regional Park. From the hills side of the city, Santiago Canyon and Carbon Canyon are within reach too. Long trail miles and canyon climbs both show up a position that isn't quite right.

From Anaheim we're a planned trip rather than a quick stop, so it's worth making one visit count: book the fit, and bring the bike in ready for any service it needs at the same time.

Getting to the shop from Anaheim

Veloaded Cyclery is one shop, in Santa Ana at 3420 W MacArthur Blvd Suite B, Santa Ana, CA 92704: about 9.9 road miles from Anaheim City Hall, roughly 25–35 min off-peak (approximate, from OpenStreetMap routing; rush-hour traffic on the 405, 5 and 55 can add a lot).

From City Hall (200 S Anaheim Blvd), take W Santa Ana St to Harbor Blvd and head south through Garden Grove and Santa Ana. Turn left (east) on W MacArthur Blvd; the shop is about 0.3 mile along, in Suite B. It's one long road, with no freeway needed. By bike, ride the Santa Ana River Trail south to the Talbert/MacArthur crossing, then head east on MacArthur for just under a mile.

• Parts quoted first: if the fit calls for a different stem, bar or saddle, you hear why and the price before anything is ordered

Repairs, frames and wheels on the same trip

2. Tell us about your riding, any discomfort, and any goal such as an event or a new bike.
3. Bring your bike, cycling shoes and pedals, and the kit you usually ride in.
